Can I use Cruise if I have an LLC?
Yes, you can! We currently support any company structure as long as your business is considered a pass-through entity for taxes (this means you file your business and personal taxes together on the same tax return).
I use the same bank account for personal and business purchases. Is that okay for taxes?
Yes, that's totally fine! Cruise lets you connect unlimited personal and business accounts. Purchases you categorize as Business are deducted from your tax bill, no matter what type of account they come from.
Separate from my business, I also have a full-time job (W-2 salary). Does Cruise take that into account when calculating my taxes?
Yes, just enter your total annual salary in your Tax Profile, and it'll be accounted for in your tax rate calculation. Your tax bill on Cruise doesn't include taxes you owe on your W-2 salary, since we assume these are paid by your employer (most common).
Can I track my miles with Cruise?
Yes, enter your estimated annual business mileage in your Tax Profile and we’ll automatically apply the standard IRS mileage deduction rate. We currently don't support mileage tracking for individual trips.
Can I use Cruise instead of TurboTax? Does Cruise help me file taxes at the end of the year?
Cruise does not replace TurboTax but we make it easy to export your data to file your taxes at the end of the year. By using Cruise throughout the year, you'll file with confidence!
Can I write off my Cruise subscription?
Absolutely! You can categorize your Cruise subscription as a business expense. It's 100% tax deductible. 🕺💃
